Mediator

David Pitre

David Pitre brings more than three decades of courtroom experience to his mediation practice, having handled complex, high-stakes disputes involving a broad array of claims,  representing both individuals and corporations.  As a veteran trial attorney who has served as lead counsel to jury verdict on numerous cases throughout Mississippi, he understands firsthand the uncertainty, expense, and risk facing both sides of the litigation.   He has honed his skills through formal mediation training, including an intensive course at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University, consistently recognized as one of the top conflict and dispute resolution programs in the world.  David draws on his extensive experience to facilitate compromise by helping parties move past entrenched positions and toward fair, final resolutions.

David's professional achievements have earned recognition at the highest levels of the legal profession.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and board-certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA).  His leadership roles within these and other statewide legal organizations have garnered him the confidence and respect of judges and attorneys on both sides of the aisle.  David was recently appointed by Chief Justice Michael Randolph to serve as the Mississippi Bar representative on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules, and by Chief Judge Sul Ozerden to serve on the United States District Court's Local Civil Rules Committee for the Northern and Southern Districts.
